Is there any interesting insite of the Huawei E220?

Howto: Disassemble guide for Huawei E220 HSDPA Modem

PS! By doing this you lose warranty and you may brake your modem!

The first picture here shows the screws and the hole for external antenna.
You can remove the front plate as the picture shows and unscrew the torx.
If you dont want or cant do this you can just break it open and the screw mounting will break.
It may be easyer just to break it open.







Get as many hooks free as possible and bend it up.



The inside of the modem.
As you see i dident remove the torx screw, its the litle black dot in the shell.



The inbuild antenna is held by two torx screws.
Not that there is also a antenna connector on the board!
There is mounting solutions to connect a real external antenna to it.
